The Ultima Dragons are a virtual club of fans of the Ultima series of computer role-playing games, founded in 1992 by members of the online service Prodigy. Re-founded on the Internet in 1994 by Ethereal Dragon, it has since then continually been growing and has passed the 10,000 member mark long ago. By now, the UDIC is most likely the largest community of Ultima fans on the Internet (and probably on the entire world, too).
Members of the club are involved in all kinds of activities, be it discussion of Ultima-related matters, help with the games or their purchase, programming etc etc.
If you are a fan of the Ultima games and have played at least one of
them, you too can become a member of the Ultima Dragons. Please refer to
the join form at http://www.udic.org/join.html.
Alternatively, you can send e-mail to join@udic.org with your real name, a valid
e-mail address, and the Dragon name of your choice). In both cases, please
make sure to check the member roster to see
whether the name yuou chose has already been taken.
Another valuable resource about the Ultima games and the UDIC are the
Usenet newsgroups:
rec.games.computer.ultima.dragons
(matters of importance to the UDIC), rec.games.computer.ultima.online
(discussion about the online RPG Ultima Online) and rec.games.computer.ultima.series
(discussion about the series of Ultima CRPG's.

If you would like to chat with other UDIC members and/or about Ultima in general, then you can find out more about the UDIC's IRC channel at the UDIC IRC page.
If you're more interested in trying out a MOO created by UDIC members (something like a MUD, i.e. a text-based phantasy world), you will be able to find information at the Weyrmount.
